Feature and Potential Benefits
High output, low emissions engines significantly increase demands on engine lubricants. Tighter engine design reduces oil consumption, resulting in less fresh oil makeup to replenish depleted additives. Thermal stresses on the lubricant are increased with the use of inter-coolers and turbochargers.
